DTF Transfers for Small Businesses

Custom DTF transfers give small businesses a flexible way to decorate apparel without purchasing a DTF printer, maintaining ink systems, or producing large minimum quantities. Udderly Custom serves apparel brands, print shops, boutiques, event companies, schools, and other businesses that need dependable single-image transfers or gang sheets from their own print-ready artwork.

Choose the ordering method that fits production

Single-image transfers are useful when your staff needs a clearly sized print that can move directly into production. A 22-inch gang sheet is useful when you want to combine several logos, garment placements, label graphics, customer designs, or size variations. Gang sheets are ordered by the foot, giving businesses a clear unit for estimating jobs and organizing repeat work.

For consistent reorders, keep a record of each design’s final dimensions, garment placement, file version, and press result. Name files clearly and avoid replacing approved artwork without updating production notes. Test new garment fabrics and styles before committing to a large customer order. Internal inventory codes may remain in your own system; they do not need to be treated as GTINs or public product identifiers.

Wholesale and production support

Wholesale DTF options are available for qualifying businesses with an EIN. Fast turnaround can support short deadlines and repeat orders, but print-ready artwork and completed payment are required before turnaround begins. Submit authorized artwork only and verify customer approvals, spelling, colors, and dimensions. If you regularly press transfers, a textured fiberglass finishing sheet can help create a professional final texture and is available from Udderly Custom.

How to order your custom DTF transfers

Choose single-image DTF transfers when you need individual logos or designs sized for a specific placement. Choose the DTF gang-sheet builder when you want to arrange several designs, names, numbers, or sizes on one sheet. Gang sheets use 22-inch-wide media and can be ordered by the foot, making them useful for coordinated apparel runs and repeat production.

Submit print-ready PNG, SVG, or PDF artwork with a transparent background. For raster artwork, 300 DPI at the final print size is recommended. Upload artwork unmirrored. Background-removal tools can help with simple files, but they are not a replacement for clean artwork. Review spelling, colors, dimensions, and quantities before ordering.

Pressing and care

Press DTF transfers at 300°F for 3–5 seconds using firm pressure. If firm pressure is not available, press for 8–10 seconds. Peel immediately after the first press in one smooth motion, then press a second time using the same temperature, time, and pressure. A textured fiberglass finishing sheet is preferred; Teflon, parchment paper, or clean jersey T-shirt material can also be used as a cover. Finished garments can be washed without a waiting period and tumble dried. Do not bleach, and avoid ironing directly over the design on the hottest setting.
