Custom family reunion DTF transfers make it possible to prepare coordinated apparel for large or small gatherings while accommodating different ages, garment styles, names, and family groups. Organize transfers for the whole family
Family orders commonly include toddler, youth, and adult garments, plus several shirt colors or styles. A single-image order works when everyone will wear the same design at one size. A 22-inch gang sheet is often better when the order includes multiple sizes, individual names, family branches, committee roles, sleeve marks, or front-and-back artwork. Gang sheets are ordered by the foot for clear production planning.
Create a written list showing each person’s garment size, transfer size, design version, and placement. Measure the actual shirts because a design suitable for an adult large may overwhelm a youth or toddler garment. Check family names, dates, locations, and memorial details carefully. Use sufficient contrast if the same artwork will be pressed onto several garment colors.
Prepare artwork before the reunion deadline
Submit final transparent artwork rather than social-media screenshots or low-resolution previews. Fine family-tree lines, small names, and distressed textures should be inspected at final print size. If the artwork includes a photographer’s image, purchased graphic, family crest, organization logo, or protected character, confirm reproduction permission before uploading. Allow time for pressing and sorting garments before travel or the event date.
How to order your custom DTF transfers
Choose single-image DTF transfers when you need individual logos or designs sized for a specific placement. Choose the DTF gang-sheet builder when you want to arrange several designs, names, numbers, or sizes on one sheet. Gang sheets use 22-inch-wide media and can be ordered by the foot, making them useful for coordinated apparel runs and repeat production.
Submit print-ready PNG, SVG, or PDF artwork with a transparent background. For raster artwork, 300 DPI at the final print size is recommended. Upload artwork unmirrored. Background-removal tools can help with simple files, but they are not a replacement for clean artwork. Review spelling, colors, dimensions, and quantities before ordering.
Pressing and care
Press DTF transfers at 300°F for 3–5 seconds using firm pressure. If firm pressure is not available, press for 8–10 seconds. Peel immediately after the first press in one smooth motion, then press a second time using the same temperature, time, and pressure. A textured fiberglass finishing sheet is preferred; Teflon, parchment paper, or clean jersey T-shirt material can also be used as a cover. Finished garments can be washed without a waiting period and tumble dried. Do not bleach, and avoid ironing directly over the design on the hottest setting.
